Where I Came From

I was born in Ohio, on June 7, 1977. We didn't live in Ohio for very long, and by the time my sister was born in 1979, my family was living in California. Shortly after that, we moved to Salt Lake City, Utah; from there, we went to Green River, Wyoming. While there, I attended Washington and Lincoln elementary schools. Just after I finished first grade, my family moved south,living in several different> towns before settling for several years in Ooltewah, Tennessee. My mom taught me at home until I was ready to enter seventh grade, at which time I entered Ooltewah Middle School. I attended there for seventh and eighth grades, and then attended Ooltewah High School for ninth and the very first part of tenth grade. Halfway through my sophomore year, my family headed back west, to Grants Pass, Oregon. I attended North Valley High School (go, Knights!) and made a lot of wonderful friends. At the end of that year, we moved yet again, this time only one town over, to Gold Hill, Oregon. I attended Crater High School during my junior year. This was, by far, my very favorite school. I enjoyed every minute there, and met a lot of great friends and teachers. I was able to participate in many after-school activities. I would have liked to spend my senior year there, too, but... you guessed it! We moved again -- back to Wyoming, where I spent my senior year at Rock Springs High. I graduated in May 1995, and in July of that year, I married Chris Rowland...but that story's on the next page!
