Mission Statement

Libraries have existed, in one form or another, since the advent of the written word. They exist as repositories of knowledge, records, and learning. Church libraries have a very special role as a subset of that mission: the church library must serve the diverse body of the congregation with materials that enlighten, encourage, and entertain the members of the Body.

The UCG-Lafayette church library accepts that role enthusiastically. Our intention is to provide high-quality materials to all of our brethren, whether old or young, homebound or able to attend services, new in the faith or well-established in the community of believers. To that end, it is our goal to assemble church literature, classic quality entertainment, and Christian living materials with care and thoughtful attention to our congregation. In addition, the UCG-Lafayette church library strives to provide the congregation with relevant local information and resources.

We exist in order to serve the brethren by introducing them to thought-provoking, encouraging, and enlightening information. We are very humbled and excited by this opportunity to learn more of God's ways with you.
