Reuben Ruminations:
Mike Dayton: Reuben was large and tasty. Poor distribution of ingredients though. Some bites I could only taste the 1000.
Mark Mizoguchi: Could not taste the cheese. Uneven distribution of meat. Not too greasy (good thing). Toasted well.
Michael Molnar: Great little restaurant, just the kind of place you would find a toasty Reuben. The service was a little underwhelming, though. Took quite a while to get our food and our beverage refills took much too long (only got one the whole time). Reuben was very good. Piled with flavorful corned beef, but not evenly distributed. Good bread, well toasted. Kraut was flavorful and not overpowering. Couldn't really taste the cheese. Used a good bit of tangy 1000.
Dan Pace: Nicely griddled bread, but a little too greasy and thin. Good crunch and rye taste. Corned beef was thin and tender with good flavor. Swiss was placed on both slices of bread. Good balance of flavors, but would have liked the 1000 to be a little more assertive. The beef tended to be piled toward the center of the sandwich and the edges were a little bare. Overall a good sandwich. Took way too long to get the sandwich. Great presentation!
Pam Paquet: Right amount of goo. Liked the marble rye! Maybe a little too greasy on the bread.
