Description (taken from the menu):
Reuben: on rye with corned beef, sauerkraut and homemade 1,000 Island dressing

Sandwich presentation:
The sandwich was cut diagonally and served in a paper-lined plastic basket with a slice of lettuce, the side item, and a pickle spear. The sandwich was on thin rye bread, and Swiss cheese lined both the top and bottom slice of bread. Atop the cheese was corned beef topped with sauerkraut and thousand island dressing.

Reuben Ruminations:

: The All Ports Galley and Ancient Mariner Tavern is an old building on the main drag of Manitou Springs. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the outside, and the interior shows its age, but the service was excellent and the food delicious. The corned beef on the Reuben came in little strips that were laid inside the sandwich--which were quite tasty. The sauerkraut was also good. The homemade 1000 Island dressing had a white color, and it tasted good also. The bread was somewhat thin, but it was buttered and grilled to perfection. This Reuben really hit the spot! ()

: The name kind of said it all, as far as the interior went. The decor was, as one would expect, maritime in nature. I did not, therefore, expect our waitress to be tricked out in goth/punk attire with what looked like a cheap knock-off of Ugg boots. Despite my misgivings, though, she was one of the best waitresses I've had in a long time, happily (voluntarily) running next door to fetch chocolate syrup to make the Youngest Boy chocolate milk. Definitely above and beyond. Oh, and the Reuben was nice, too. ()
